Tragedy Strikes Lalpura Village in Bharthana Area; Several Families Lose Their Belongings

Etawah, June 10 — A devastating fire broke out late Thursday evening in Lalpura (Natho Ka Dera) village under Bharthana police station limits, Etawah, after a short circuit triggered flames that quickly engulfed seven houses. The blaze left five people injured and reduced the belongings of multiple families to ashes.

Fire Spreads Rapidly Amid Dry Weather

The fire initially broke out at the residence of village resident Joranath. Fueled by dry weather and gusty winds, the flames rapidly spread to neighboring houses. Villagers reported that the fire intensified so quickly that residents barely had time to escape.

Locals Rescue Families, Livestock from Flames

Displaying immense bravery, local youths rescued trapped women, children, and livestock from the burning homes. Despite these efforts, several families — including those of Mohannath and Rajendranath — lost their household items, cash, jewelry, and important documents.

Firefighters Battle Blaze for Two Hours

Brave community members, alongside multiple fire brigade teams, battled the inferno for over two hours. During the firefighting efforts, residents Bijendranath, Rajendranath, Diwannath, Chotenath, and Anil Nath sustained burn injuries. They were given first aid at the scene.

Officials, Leaders Arrive for Relief Measures

Upon receiving information, local BJP Mandal President Ompratap alias Bantu Gaur, former district panchayat member Ajay Yadav, and hundreds of villagers arrived at the site. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajkumar Singh, Bharthana Circle Officer Atul Pradhan, Crime Inspector Arimardan Singh, and revenue officials conducted a thorough assessment of the damage.

The administration has promptly launched relief efforts, arranging food and temporary shelter for the affected families. Revenue officials are also assessing the losses to ensure early compensation for the victims.
