Etawah Police Nab Four Accused with 15 Stolen Motorcycles; Gang Targeted Nearby Districts for Theft

Etawah Police’s Civil Lines and Crime Branch teams achieved a significant breakthrough late Monday night when they apprehended four members of an inter-state bike theft gang with 15 stolen motorcycles. Acting on a tip-off, the police tried to stop two suspicious bike riders near Numayish Chowraha.“The police saw the suspects, who then tried to flee, but officers caught them near Khwaja Gate.

During interrogation, the accused admitted to stealing the bikes and informed the police that their two other accomplices were hiding near the abandoned Guest House of the Forest Department, where they had parked a total of 13 stolen motorcycles.” Acting swiftly, the police raided the location and arrested the two other suspects along with the bikes.

The arrested individuals include Sukhbir alias Neta, son of Baburam from Vaidpura, Sumit alias Lukka, son of Anil Kushwaha, Sheelu, son of Radheshyam, and Brijesh, son of Surendra Singh. According to police records, all four have multiple criminal cases registered against them.

SP City Abhyanath Tripathi informed the press that the accused are professional criminals. They steal motorcycles from nearby districts, park them at different locations for reconnaissance, and once the situation settles, transport the bikes via loaders to Madhya Pradesh to sell them. The police team recovered a total of 15 motorcycles from the accused.

For this important success, the Civil Lines Police Station in-charge Vikram Singh and the Crime Branch team have been announced to receive awards by the SSP.
