Students Spread Anti-Tobacco Message Through Rangoli, Street Play, and Songs at Chaudhary Sughar Singh Nursing College
Jaswantnagar, Etawah:
On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the District Legal Services Authority organized a special awareness program at Chaudhary Sughar Singh Nursing College in Jaswantnagar, with Additional District Judge Rupendra Singh Tongar presiding over the event.
The students actively participated by presenting a rangoli, street play, and songs to highlight the harmful effects of tobacco consumption. Judge Tongar referred to tobacco as a “slow poison” and praised those who abstain from using it.
Circle Officer Ayushi Singh provided detailed information about diseases caused by tobacco, including cancer, heart disease, lung ailments, and mental health issues. The anti-tobacco rangoli created by nursing students became the highlight of the event.
Several officials including Tehsildar Dilip Kumar, Sub-Inspector Mahendra Singh, and Nursing College Director Reema Sharma were present at the program.
Ramsundar and Rishabh Pathak, members of the People’s Legal Volunteers (PLV), assured that they will conduct regular awareness campaigns against tobacco. All PLV members are committed to making India tobacco-free.
