Strict Guidelines Issued for Procession Led by BJP MLA T Raja Singh
Hyderabad, April 6: In anticipation of the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra today, Hyderabad Police have ramped up security and surveillance across the city to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of the event. The main procession, led by BJP MLA T Raja Singh, has been granted permission under strict conditions by the city police.
Conditions for the Procession
As per the order issued by Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Vikram Singh Mann, the yatra will begin from Akashpuri Hanuman Temple in Dhoolpet and conclude at Hanuman Vyayamshala in Ram Kote. Participants must adhere to several key restrictions:
- Walk only along the left side of the road
- No DJ sound systems or loud music
- No drone photography
- Bursting of firecrackers is strictly prohibited
These measures aim to maintain communal harmony and avoid any disturbances during the religious event.
Procession Route
The procession will pass through several key areas of the city including Anita Tower, Puranapool Gandhi Statue, Jummerath Bazar, Chudi Bazar, Begum Bazar Chatri, Swastik Mirchi, Siddiamber Bazar Masjid, Gowliguda Gurudwara, and Koti Women’s College, before culminating at Hanuman Vyayamshala.
As in previous years, the Siddiamber Bazar mosque and nearby dargah have been covered with cloth as a precautionary measure.
Tight Security Measures
Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand conducted a detailed review of security arrangements on Friday following a route inspection along with Sri Ramanavami Utsav committees and senior officers.
He emphasized the need for:
- Enhanced surveillance at intersections where the main and smaller processions merge
- Deployment of additional forces in sensitive areas around religious places
- Vigilance against pickpockets and chain snatchers
- City-wide alert for all officers and Special Branch personnel
Traffic Restrictions in Place
To facilitate the procession and ensure public safety, traffic restrictions have been enforced from 9 AM to 9 PM along the yatra route. Key roads affected include:
- Seetharambagh Temple to Hanuman Vyayamshala
- Bhoiguda Kaman, Mangalhat PS Road, Jali Hanuman, Dhoolpet Puranapul
- Gandhi Statue, Jumerat Bazar, Chudi Bazar, Begumbazar Chatri
- Bartan Bazar, SA Bazar Mosque, Shanker Sher Hotel, Gowliguda Chaman
- Rammandir Kaman, Putlibowli X Road, Andhra Bank X Road
- DMHS X Road, Sultan Bazar X Road, Royal Plaza T-Junction
Commuters are advised to take alternative routes and cooperate with traffic personnel.
