Trump\u2019s statement comes amid growing uncertainty as US-China trade negotiations appear to be stalling. \u201cThe very high tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to trade into the United States,\u201d Trump wrote, claiming that the resulting economic disruption in China led to factory closures and even \u201ccivil unrest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite earlier attempts to ease economic tensions, Trump accused China of failing to honor the terms of a 90-day tariff truce. \u201cThe bad news is that China\u2026 HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US,\u201d he added, ending the post by saying, \u201cSo much for being Mr. NICE GUY!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
