In a powerful address in Kanpur, the PM says Operation Sindoor is the new normal, warns Pakistan against terror tactics<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>, during his visit to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh<\/strong>, on Friday, declared that the Indian armed forces<\/strong> had forced the Pakistani Army to plead for a ceasefire<\/strong> during Operation Sindoor<\/strong>, India\u2019s powerful counter-offensive following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PM Modi emphasized that threats of nuclear weapons will no longer intimidate India and that India will act decisively and independently in its fight against terrorism.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIndia\u2019s principle in the fight against terror is to give a befitting reply to every attack. The time, method, and scale will be decided by our forces themselves,\u201d said Modi.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Highlighting Operation Sindoor<\/strong> as a turning point, PM Modi noted that Indian forces penetrated deep into enemy territory<\/strong>, destroying several terror camps in Pakistan using indigenous weapons<\/strong>, including the BrahMos missile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe world witnessed the power of ‘Make in India’ as Indian-made weapons created havoc in terrorist hideouts,\u201d the Prime Minister stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n He also paid tribute to Shubham Dwivedi<\/strong>, a victim from Kanpur who lost his life in the Pahalgam terror attack. Modi called him the “son of Kanpur”<\/strong>, expressing solidarity with the victim\u2019s family and acknowledging the collective grief and anger felt by the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking about the outcome of the Indian military operation, Modi said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt was the courage of our brave soldiers on the Line of Control that forced Pakistan to beg for a ceasefire<\/strong>.
