They adorned the temple with 108 quintals of flowers from 54 varieties, including marigolds and roses, sourced from Nepal, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Traditional Rituals and Dignitary Presence<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremonial rituals began as early as <strong>5 AM<\/strong>, said Harish Gaur, media in-charge of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). Rawal Bhimashankar Ling, along with other priests and dignitaries including Kedarnath MLA Asha Nautiyal, District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar, BKTC CEO Vijay Prasad Thapliyal, and spiritual leaders, opened the gates of the sanctum sanctorum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami<\/strong> also attended the occasion and performed the <strong>first puja<\/strong> after the opening of the gates, praying for the well-being and prosperity of all devotees and the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New Feature: Grand Aarti at Confluence<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding a new spiritual experience this year, the temple will host a <strong>grand aarti<\/strong> at the <strong>confluence of the Mandakini and Saraswati rivers<\/strong>, inspired by the famous <strong>Ganga Aarti<\/strong> of Varanasi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BKTC CEO Vijay Thapliyal confirmed that they have constructed special ramps on three sides of the confluence to allow devotees to witness the aarti in full grandeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Significance of Kedarnath<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kedarnath, considered the <strong>11th Jyotirlinga<\/strong> and the most visited among the Char Dham temples, is revered by lakhs of devotees each year.
