Etawah, April 10<\/strong> \u2013 The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP)<\/strong> has drawn strong parallels between the recent violence against Hindus in West Bengal<\/strong> and the Kashmir exodus<\/strong>, urging the central government to step in<\/strong> if the state administration fails to control the unrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Amid widespread protests<\/strong> over the new Waqf law<\/strong>, several regions in Murshidabad district<\/strong> witnessed violent mob attacks<\/strong>, forcing many Hindu families to flee to Malda<\/strong> and nearby areas. The clashes, which have reportedly claimed three lives<\/strong>, have drawn severe condemnation from right-wing organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe attacks on Hindus in Dhulian, Suti, and Shamsherganj are condemnable. This incident is an exact repetition of what happened in Kashmir,\u201d said Milind Parande<\/strong>, VHP\u2019s National General Secretary, currently visiting the affected areas in the state.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n The violence erupted during protests over the controversial Waqf Act<\/strong>, spiraling into targeted attacks on Hindu homes. Many families are now seeking refuge in relief camps established by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)<\/strong> in Padlapur<\/strong>. Around 400 individuals from over 20 villages<\/strong> are being sheltered, with women and children forming 80% of the displaced population<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n RSS sources report an urgent need for doctors, medicines<\/strong>, and transportation<\/strong>, citing the difficulty in fleeing due to long distances and lack of ferry services over the Ganga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Calling the attacks \u201cJihadi<\/strong>\u201d in nature, Parande has called for capital punishment<\/strong> for the culprits and compensation for the families<\/strong> of the deceased. He further demanded rehabilitation<\/strong> of the displaced and deployment of central forces<\/strong> to avoid further flare-ups, especially in Siliguri and other parts<\/strong> of West Bengal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIf the state fails to control the situation, the Centre must act immediately,\u201d said Parande, also taking aim at provocative remarks made by ministers in the state government.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n In response to the growing tensions, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs<\/strong> has already deployed Border Security Force (BSF)<\/strong> personnel in affected regions.
