Rekha Gupta Sworn In as Delhi\u2019s New Chief Minister<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

New Delhi, February 20, 2025:<\/strong> BJP leader Rekha Gupta<\/strong> took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi<\/strong> today at Ramlila Maidan<\/strong>, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>, Union Home Minister Amit Shah<\/strong>, and other senior BJP leaders. Alongside her, key members of the Delhi cabinet<\/strong>, including Kapil Mishra, Parvesh Verma, and Ashish Sood<\/strong>, were also sworn in as ministers. Rekha Gupta is currently the only female BJP leader holding the position of Chief Minister in a BJP-ruled state or Union Territory.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delhi Cabinet Ministers Announced<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the BJP\u2019s announcement of Rekha Gupta<\/strong> as Delhi\u2019s new Chief Minister on Wednesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs<\/strong> officially released the list of six cabinet ministers<\/strong> on Thursday. The newly appointed ministers include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Who is Rekha Gupta?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Rekha Gupta, a first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh<\/strong>, is now the fourth female Chief Minister of Delhi<\/strong>. Having joined the BJP in 2002<\/strong> after serving in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for nearly a decade<\/strong>, she has held several leadership roles, including General Secretary of Delhi BJP\u2019s Mahila Morcha<\/strong> and National Vice-Chairperson of BJP Mahila Morcha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections<\/strong>, she secured a significant victory over AAP candidate Bandana Kumari<\/strong> in Shalimar Bagh<\/strong>, winning by 29,595 votes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
