The accident took place near a petrol pump in the Saifai police station area. A truck, reportedly losing control due to a tire burst, rammed into the rear of an auto-rickshaw. The auto-rickshaw was en route to Saifai, carrying several passengers.
Authorities have identified Sadabihari, a resident of Jhingurpur, Saifai, as the deceased.
His wife, Suhaga, and three other passengers—Vinita, Rashmi, and Sahil—sustained serious injuries. All injured individuals were promptly transported to Saifai Medical University for treatment. Doctors have reported that while the patients are stable, they remain under close observation.
Aftermath and Response
Following the accident, the truck driver fled the scene. Police have seized the truck and initiated a search for the absconding driver. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
