Etawah, February 16, 2025: A 7-foot-long python created panic in the Vaidpura police station area of Etawah after it was found inside an ancient Hanuman temple this afternoon at around 1:00 PM.
Local residents Lalla Singh and his wife Rajkumari, who had gone to open the temple gates, were shocked to find the massive python coiled near the idol of Lord Hanuman. They immediately informed wildlife experts, following which a rescue operation was conducted.
According to experts, the python might have been attracted to the area due to the presence of 8-10 goats near the temple. Upon receiving the information, wildlife expert and snake rescuer Dr. Ashish Tripathi, along with his team, arrived at the scene. He carefully rescued the snake, ensuring no harm to the reptile or the temple premises, and later handed it over to the Etawah Forest Department for safe release into its natural habitat.
The incident has left the local villagers astonished, but officials have assured that such reptiles pose no direct threat to humans and are an important part of the ecosystem.
