Etawah: The Kings emerged victorious in the cricket tournament held at GIC Ground, defeating Star by four wickets in an intense final match on Monday evening.

Kings’ captain Rajkapoor Rana won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, Team Star delivered a strong performance, scoring 193 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Vishal Saxena played a crucial innings, scoring 56 runs, while Rishabh contributed 21 and Rituraj added 20 runs. On the bowling front for Kings, Neeraj Singh took three wickets, while Amol Ratan claimed two.

Chasing a target of 194, Kings had a shaky start, losing three wickets for just 21 runs. However, captain Rajkapoor Rana and Jackie steadied the innings with a 108-run partnership. Rana played a blistering knock of 65 runs, while Jackie added a solid 45 runs, bringing the match to an even contest. Amol Ratan then stepped in with a crucial 42-run innings, guiding Kings to a four-wicket victory.

For Team Star, captain Anupam took three wickets. Amol Ratan was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance, while Rajkapoor Rana was awarded Best Batsman, and Anupam was recognized as Best Bowler.

The event witnessed active participation from Etawah Mandal’s key executives, including Sandeep Pal, Manjeet Yadav, Rajeev Chauhan, Vivek Pandey, Aditya Dubey, Ranjit Kewat, Jayant Yadav, Hari Madhav, and Sunil Pal. Senior officials from Agra Zone, including Prabhat Kumar and Anup Mishra, were also present. Officials from Agra, Bulandshahr, Kanpur, and Jhansi attended the event and enjoyed the thrilling finale.
