Etawah: Yet another case of negligence has come to light at the district hospital in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The 100-bed hospital, established to provide quality healthcare to patients, is now under scrutiny as doctors are reportedly not showing up for their duties on time, leaving patients and their families in distress.

Doctors Not Reporting on Duty as Scheduled
According to hospital staff, Dr. Shivani arrived at the hospital in the morning but left shortly after for some personal work. Her duty hours are from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, during this period, patients faced significant inconvenience due to her absence.

Patients Deprived of Timely Treatment
Patients and their families have expressed frustration over the delay in treatment caused by the doctors’ irregularities. They claim they are often left waiting for hours, which not only impacts their health but also raises questions about the hospital administration’s efficiency.

Disregard for Health Minister’s Directives
It is worth noting that the Health Minister has issued clear instructions mandating doctors to be present during their designated hours and prioritize patient care. Despite these directives, the blatant disregard for rules at the hospital continues, undermining the credibility of public healthcare services.

Demand for Investigation
Locals have demanded an inquiry into the matter and strict action against the negligent doctors. They have also urged the authorities to implement measures to ensure such incidents do not recur in the future.
