Etawah, May 13, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his monthly Mann Ki Baat radio address on Sunday, lauded the Indian Armed Forces and indigenous defense technology for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7. Indian armed forces targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), and the mission has since earned widespread praise as a major success.

“Our soldiers destroyed terror bases; it was their indomitable courage, along with the power of weapons, equipment, and technology made in India,” the PM said.

🎯 Operation Sindoor: A Bold Message to Terrorism

The Prime Minister praised the precision and accuracy of the strike, emphasizing that homegrown defense capabilities under the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) initiative played a pivotal role. He said Operation Sindoor not only showcased military strength but also reflected India’s growing confidence and unity in the fight against terrorism.

“This mission is not just military action; it is a picture of our resolve, courage, and a transforming India,” PM Modi added.

🛡️ Rise of Self-Reliance in National Defense

PM Modi highlighted the increasing shift in India towards buying Indian-made products, including toys, wedding goods, travel options, and gifts from local artisans. He appealed to citizens to support Made-in-India products not just for economic reasons but as a contribution to nation-building.

“Let us take a pledge — wherever possible in our lives, we will accord priority to products made in the country,” he urged listeners.

🇮🇳 Nationwide Patriotism and Tiranga Yatras

The Prime Minister noted that people across villages, towns, and cities spontaneously organized Tiranga Yatras (flag marches) following the success of the operation.

He said the mission had infused the country with a new sense of patriotism and unity against terrorism.

🚌 Development in Maoist-Affected Areas

PM Modi also spoke about the progress in districts previously affected by Maoist insurgency. He shared the example of a village in Gadchiroli, where a bus service was introduced for the first time, significantly improving local life.

“On account of the collective fight against Maoism, basic facilities have started reaching such areas,” he remarked.

📌 Conclusion

Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to India’s strategic capability, homegrown military technology, and national unity. As PM Modi emphasized, it’s not just a mission—it’s a message to the world that India stands strong, united, and self-reliant.
