28,000 Beneficiaries in Etawah Receive Subsidy Under Ujjwala Yojana
Etawah: Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, 28,000 beneficiaries in Etawah received a subsidy on Tuesday. During a program held at Vikas Bhawan, MLA Sarita Bhadauria distributed a subsidy of ₹516 to the beneficiaries. In the district, a total of 1.61 lakh women are eligible for this scheme. The live broadcast of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s speech was also shown during the event. The remaining beneficiaries will receive their subsidy soon.
Subsidy Distribution Event at Vikas Bhawan
A special subsidy distribution program was organized at the Prerna Auditorium of Vikas Bhawan, where MLA Sarita Bhadauria, the chief guest, personally distributed the subsidy to 28,000 families. The event was organized by the District Supply Department and was attended by women beneficiaries who watched the live address of CM Yogi Adityanath.
Empowering Women Through Government Schemes
Addressing the gathering, MLA Sarita Bhadauria highlighted how women today are more aware and empowered. She encouraged them to educate their children and take full advantage of government schemes. She also informed them about the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, urging them to enroll in the scheme for additional benefits.
Women from both Hindu and Muslim communities expressed their gratitude to the government for providing this financial aid ahead of Holi and Ramzan. They also appreciated the government’s efforts in offering free ration and financial assistance for children’s education.
District Supply Officer’s Statement
District Supply Officer Seema Tripathi stated that out of 1.61 lakh eligible women in the district, 28,000 families have already received the subsidy before Holi. The ₹516 subsidy was directly transferred to their bank accounts. She assured that the remaining beneficiaries would receive their subsidy within a couple of days.

The event saw the presence of District Magistrate Avneesh Rai, ADM Abhinav Ranjan Srivastava, SDM Vikram Singh Raghav, and representatives of gas distribution agencies along with other key officials.
