Paris, February 7, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi co-chaired the AI Action Summit in France alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, emphasizing that artificial intelligence is shaping the “code for humanity” in the 21st century.
Addressing global leaders, including US Vice President JD Vance and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, PM Modi highlighted the rapid development and deployment of AI across the world.
“AI is developing at an unprecedented scale and speed. It is being adapted and deployed even faster. There is also a deep interdependence across borders. There is a need for collective global efforts to establish governance and standards that uphold our shared values, address risks, and build trust,” PM Modi stated.
The summit focused on global AI governance, ethical AI deployment, and international cooperation to harness AI for societal progress while mitigating potential risks.
